Vintage silver photo locket Birmingham Swan 1979

A beautiful, hand-engraved vintage sterling silver locket featuring a serene swan and bullrush scene. This piece is a classic example of late 1970s British silver craftsmanship from the renowned Birmingham jewelry quarter.

Fully hallmarked with a 925 Silver hallmark the Birmingham Anchor, the Lion Passant and a makers mark. 

Stamped with a makers mark 'JS', attributed to the respected Birmingham silversmith John Rose.

This locket features a hand-etched swan swimming amongst reeds on the front, with a high-polish reflective finish on the reverse. The front is in excellent condition but might benefit from a gentle clean. The back has some small denting, see pictures.

The hinge is secure, and the locket closes securely.
